This safari takes you to Murchison Falls NP with a stopover at Ziwa rhino sanctuary. Later, you will continue to Kibale NP where you will do chimpanzee trekking. Then, proceed to Queen Elizabeth NP for tree climbing lions. While there, you will also do experiential lion and leopard tracking. Later, you will transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable NP for gorilla trekking and the Batwa trail. Head back to Kampala passing the Equator and finally to Entebbe airport.

Day 1: Arrival at Entebbe and have a city tour.

You will start your trip with pick up from the airport by your guide who will welcome you and also brief you about the trip. After the briefing, you will proceed to Kampala where you will engage in a city tour to experience the beauty of the city and its culture.

During your city tour, you will visit different places around Kampala such as: Gadhafi Mosque, Rubaga Cathedral and the Kings Palace. You will also get a taste of Ugandan cuisines at a Restaurant in the city in the company of your guide. Later, you will be driven to your lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 2: Transfer to Murchison falls National Park and evening game drive.

On this day, you will wake up early in the morning, take breakfast and set off for Murchison Falls National Park. You will stop just before reaching Murchison falls to visit the Ziwa Rhino sanctuary.

White Rhinos became extinct in Uganda’s national parks in 1980. The few that had remained where transferred to the sanctuary for better protection. There are about 18 rhinos in the sanctuary at the moment and there is a plan to reintroduce them in Uganda’s game parks in the future.

Lunch will be at the sanctuary before proceeding to Murchison falls national park. Later when you reach your lodge, freshen up, and head out for an evening game drive. Then return to your lodge for dinner and relaxation.

Day 3: Game drive and Boat cruise

After an early hot cup of tea / coffee, leave for an early morning game drive in search of the early morning risers.  You will look for buffaloes, oribi, elephants, hyena, Rothschild giraffes, lions, Kobs and waterbucks together with birds. Head back and rest at the lodge till lunch time. In the afternoon, have a Boat ride on the Victoria Nile to the bottom of the falls. This Boat ride on River Nile goes for 3 hours and you will be able to see Nile crocodiles, numerous hippos, buffaloes, elephants as well as various bird species. You will have an evening game drive as well. Return for dinner and the overnight at the lodge.

Day 4: Top of the falls and transfer to Kibale National Park

On this day, have early breakfast, head to the top of the falls and later embark on your journey to Kibale NP. This is the best safari destination for chimpanzee trekking. Arrive at the park in the evening and connect to your lodge.

Day 5: Chimpanzee trekking and Bigodi swamp walk.

After breakfast, you will meet your guide at the park head office for briefing with your packed lunch. Enter the rain forest to start searching for these primates. The activity of searching/trekking will take you 2-5hrs and on meeting them, you will have only 1hr to interact and take pictures with them.

After tracking, you will have a little bit of relaxation and go for a swamp walk at Bigodi wetland sanctuary.

Day 6: Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park and evening game drive

On this day, you will transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park and relax at your accommodation as you prepare for an evening game drive. Return to the lodge for dinner and relaxation.

Day 7: Experiential Lion and Leopard tracking and evening boat cruise

On this day, after your breakfast, you will head to the northern section of the park “Kasenyi section.”

Under the guidance of researchers, trackers follow lions and leopards with calls tracing the signals of trackers which are tied on the neck of these animals.

When on a lion and leopard predator tracking experience, trackers here can drive off truck. They do this in order to find the predators whenever the signals are directing.

This experience takes about 3 hours. Later on, you will go for lunch and then an afternoon boat cruise on the Kazinga channel.

Day 8: Transfer to Bwindi via Ishasha sector for tree climbing lions.

After an early breakfast, move to Bwindi National Park renowned for the endangered mountain gorillas. Go through the Ishasha sector on a game drive found in southern Queen Elizabeth National Park legendary for its tree climbing lions. Dine and slumber at:

Day 9: Gorilla trekking and Batwa (pygmies) trail

You will start your day with an early breakfast and then head to the park office headquarters with packed lunch for a vital briefing prior to the trekking of the gorillas in the thick impenetrable forest.

You will trek for about 2-8 hours after which you will be allowed to spend only one hour with the gorillas. If you still feel strong, you can go for a brief nature walk to the local Batwa community. Check out the curio shops, children’s school among others. If you are a nature lover, you can try the other option being Muyanja river trail, where you will get a chance to see an array of bird life and butterflies. Return for dinner and overnight as above.

Day 10: Transfer to Kampala via Equator and to Entebbe International Airport for your flight

Have an early breakfast and embark on your journey back to Kampala.

You will have lunch along the way and get an opportunity to buy souvenirs at the Equator then pass through Entebbe town as you head to the airport.
